I work with Youth With A Mission (YWAM), doing a lot of “behind the scenes” hospitality work on the base, including cooking & cleaning. Our “base” is a hundred year old mansion that was once a hotel, & later a Christian Renewal Center, & is now called An Cuan (Irish for “harbour”) & our home! I help lead worship & intercession times. As a base we are constantly inviting the local community of Rostrevor onto our grounds for different craft fairs & gatherings & support groups. We also run several conferences on restoration between the Catholics & Protestants (I would highly recommend researching the history of Northern Ireland & the Republic of Ireland…two separate countries). We do trash pick-up outside throughout the village & meet with people weekly in the pubs as well!
I work with the local youth (around high school age), discipling them & simply being their friend-showing a side of Jesus many of them haven’t seen. I also live with an amazing & beautiful family who lost their father to cancer a couple years ago. You can read more about them on the “meet the family” page.
